News of the Massachusetts Blogosphere
Welcome Dirty Water to our informal network of MA political bloggers. Like the rest of us, he is a reformer. In an essay about the elitist and self-proclaimed centrist, Democratic Leadership Council, he writes, "People power scares them. We scare them. Deval Patrick scares them.... A movement is rising that is and will be much larger and much more influential that the DLC has ever been. It won't be long before the DLC is merely a footnote in history."
MargeBlog also deserves a belated welcome. Marge has been fundraising for her political action committee and plans to contribute to Deval Patrick and Martha Coakley's campaigns for governor and attorney general respectively. She reports that this is not only fun, but "it's cheaper than skiing."
Welcome back to Nohomissives, who got to thinking about Wonk NOT!'s interview with Deval Patrick the other day: "I'd much rather hear approach and priorities and get the feel that the candidate is smart, engaged, and ready to lead. When Deval says that he's willing to spend political capital to get to universal [health care] coverage, that means a lot more to me than the specific bill he's backing."
And welcome back too, to the Massachusetts Democratic Party blog, which mysteriously stopped and then started posting again. They say that they have been busy with a reorganization but that "We have some exciting details and news coming."
